About Kitana
Kitana is an AI photo and video app for mobile and the browser. This page says who builds it, how it works and how to reach the people behind it.
Who makes it
Kitana is made by Mobtive, a small independent app studio. The same small team writes the app, the website and the guides, and answers the support inbox.
What it does
You start from a photo, or from a text description, and pick a tool: AI avatars, headshots, a baby face generator, 90s yearbook portraits, age transformation, cartoon styles, photo restoration, background replacement, object removal, style transfer, upscaling, social media images and text to image. Photo to Video turns a single still into a short vertical clip.
The tools are in the mobile app and, in the browser, in the Kitana Studio — no install needed.
How results are made
Every image and video Kitana returns is generated by AI image and video models from your photo and the tool's instructions. Nothing is edited by hand, and a result is a new picture, not a retouched copy of the original.
AI models get things wrong: hands, text, likeness and fine detail can come out off, and two runs of the same tool give different results. Running a tool again usually helps. Results should not be presented as real photographs of real events.
Each request's text is checked by an automated moderation service before anything is generated, and a blocked request is not charged against your limit. In the app, a result can be reported with the flag icon, and reports are reviewed by a person.
How your photos are handled
A photo you upload is used to make your result. Both the mobile app and the browser studio remove GPS and other EXIF metadata from the photo before it is uploaded, as long as the browser can read the photo's format.
You can delete a single result at any time, and delete your whole account from the account settings page. The privacy policy has the full details.
What it costs
Kitana is free to try, with a small number of free creations every day. Pro raises the daily limit and removes ads and the watermark; it costs $3.99 USD/week, $9.99 USD/month, or $89.99 USD/year, billed in US dollars. On the web, payments are handled by Creem as merchant of record; in the app, by the App Store.
